We stayed in this apartment at the beginning of November 2023 with a reservation made on Booking. My review is also available there and can be read. We are traveling with our daughter. The owner's representative is not present during check-in and check-out. Those are their rules. They provide an entry code through a WhatsApp message and this is not at the request of the client, but the rules of the owner of the apartment. Everything was great until a few hours after we left, when again on WhatsApp the owner accused us of stealing some cheap IKEA cutlery. The funny thing about the whole story is that the dishes were washed in the dishwasher in the third special drawer of the appliance (specially designed for them). We tried to explain to him several times where to look for them, but he kept showing us pictures of the bottom two drawers. His first version was that we stole them, but when we explained to him that we were only flying with hand luggage, he changed his version and accused us of throwing them in the bin for fun.
In addition to the accusations, the owner of the apartment marked the reservation (which was 100% prepaid) in Booking as a no-show. This reservation status entitled him to a second withdrawal of the full amount as a penalty fee for no show. I blocked my credit card immediately and failed to withdraw the money a second time. And I informed the booking administration who said that the owner had indicated himself that we had not turned up several hours after we had actually left the apartment
The owner behaves extremely rude and unpleasant. I have hundreds of bookings in Booking and this is the first time something like this has happened to me. We are reasonable and mature people, we travel with our child all the time, we have paid more than 1300 euros in advance, and finally such a "person" dares to declare us thieves of a few cheap forks in order to withdraw another 1300 euros from our credit card. After my low review, the owner used all methods to remove it. Tried to unmark his apartment on google by calling it a chureria and changed his name, then started leaving fake reviews under different names, then reported my review to have it taken down. This is the second time I've written this review and I'm not going to let things go. This is all extremely dishonest.

Fraud and attempted theft from customers' credit cards.
Unfortunately, the good reviews about this apartment are a complete fraud because they are given by relatives and friends of the owner. The owner tried to accuse us of stealing cheap IKEA cutlery. With absolutely no evidence. When we were leaving, no one came to check if everything was in place. And that was by the owner's choice, not ours. In addition, the owner informed Booking that we did not show up and did not rent the apartment, which is an absolute lie. He did this in an attempt to gain access to our credit card again to charge once again the amount we had already prepaid prior to check-in. I sent Booking all the evidence and they ruled in our favour. I have hundreds of bookings on Booking and I am a Genius 3 status, but this is the first time such an attempt at theft and fraud has happened to me.
In an attempt to hide the truth and our reviews, the owner changed the details of the apartment in Google Maps. He turned it from an apartment into a chureria, changed his address and declared it permanently closed. But unfortunately for him, this deception did not work for him either.
After this review was published, the owner changed the old property name "ApartsNouBcn Les Corts", Carrer de l'Ecuador, 18 to "Hola les Corts", Carrer de ecuador 30 with a new fake address, fake website and fake phone number. From an apartment, he changed it to a chureria and declared it permanently closed. Why? These actions of his only prove that he is a fraud and a thief.
