Regus: A Nightmare Leasing Experience

Leasing an office at Regus has been an absolute nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my experience for the benefit of others considering their services.

1. Ego-Centric and Infantile Staff:
The staff at Regus exhibit an alarming level of ego-centric behavior and infantile responses. Requests are met with unnecessary resistance, and professionalism seems to be a rare commodity among the team.

2. Contracts with Building Management to Lie:
It's disheartening to discover that Regus has contracts with building management to propagate lies on their behalf. This deceitful practice undermines trust and transparency, creating an environment where tenants are left in the dark.

3. Zero Problem Resolution:
Regus fails miserably in problem resolution. Issues are not addressed promptly, and the lack of accountability exacerbates the challenges faced by tenants. It's a frustrating cycle of problems with no effective resolution in sight.

4. Sensitive Staff Blocking Guest Access:
The staff, seemingly sensitive to any request, resort to blocking guest and client access. This unprofessional behavior not only hampers business operations but reflects poorly on the company's commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive workspace.

5. Putting Staff and Leasers in Danger:
A disturbing revelation is the blatant disregard for safety. Regus appears to cover up situations that put both staff and leasers in potential danger. This is an unacceptable practice that compromises the well-being of everyone involved.

In conclusion, my experience with Regus has been nothing short of a disaster. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to avoid this company like the plague. There are far better and more reputable options available that prioritize professionalism, transparency, and the safety of their tenants.

STAY AWAY. The location is great and the views are excellent. However, this company uses unsavory business practices. I had a dedicated desk there before the pandemic, then a co-working membership since 2021. Now, after giving Regus years of business, I no longer go there to work.

However, they refuse to let me out of my contract, insisting they will charge me monthly for another year because I did not request cancellation 90 days in advance, based on fine print in the original contract from 2 years ago.

There is absolutely no reason they cannot instantly cancel a co-working membership that I no longer use, whether it is 90 days, 60 days (which I did) or one day notice. There isn't even an office that I need to move out of! It's just lounge privileges.

A good business model is providing a quality product to customers at a reasonable price. A bad business model is using shady practices in order to extract money from people. I can now say that Regus Spaces is the latter. I will never do business with them again and caution others in my industry as well. My advice would be to never use Regus, and if you, do be sure that you have legal counsel.

I have filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Bureau at the FTC and will continue to pursue this.

One of the most beautiful Spaces there are. Everything is truly inspiring here. EXCEPT: That dealing with Spaces is a Nightmare. Months before you receive your retainer balance back. Three accidental charges on credit card (later fixed). What a pity that a beautiful place comes with that ugly service. I wish I knew and I would've looked for a different office provider.

I came in today to meet with a client and I had a good experience until the manager came up to me.

Rude manager came up to me at the table I was having a meeting and without asking if he was interrupting, asked the whole table who “Victor” was. Right away he went into talking about my plan with Regus and that he was going to change it.

I wanted to end the conversation with him to continue with my meeting by saying that I would take care of the plan change on my own. I guess he didn’t like my answer because he kept on insisting “but why!?”. Eventually, he rolled his eyes and left. Talk about bad management.

After he left, my client mentioned that she was bothered and wasn’t going to sign up to Spaces anymore. I told her it was the only location I had a bad experience with but the bad image had been set.

The layout is very modern and open. This is the same company as Regus.
It's two floors and laid out to be used by more virtual tenants who just need a space for to meet with someone. Some parts of the layout looks like a Denny's restaurant.
First floor bar area doesn't even have a coffee machine or water. It's just plates and cups.
The receptionist, Michael was on a call when I arrived, and an hour later is when the person I met with was informed that I was there. Michael does not know how to put the caller on hold and take care if who is in front of him.
