I love the Department. In my humble opinion, it is the best coworking spot in the valley. I’ve tried them all, and they all have their own unique pros and cons, but I can find few cons when it comes to this downtown gem. The location is prime. The design of the interior is open, modern, and comfortable. The architectural details here matter. The offices are large and well priced. The drop in rate can’t be beat. They take care of their tenants with amenities and don’t buckle and dime you. And the views can’t be beat.

If you’re looking for a workspace away from home or the local coffee shop, look no further.

Excellent space to “work from home” away from home. The staff is awesome- super friendly and helpful. The podcast studio is a big plus. The location is downtown and lots of great spots in walking distance.

I utilize The Department for their conference room rentals to teach my courses when I am in Phoenix. Their space is amazing and I always receive many great comments from all of my students. They offer so many amenities that are rare and provide comfort to me and my team.

What really sets The Department apart is their staff. Marissa and Hailey go out of their way to accommodate my group. They are professional, kind, and welcoming. My students often learn their names, because they are so impressed with their facilities and level of service. Their communication throughout the rental process is fantastic.

I have returned here twice solely based on my experience with Marissa and Hailey. I will continue to return as they make my job so easy I can’t thank them enough!

I am so grateful I found The Department! Initially, I was mostly just looking for a virtual office address, but I liked the place and the staff so much that I ended up getting a dedicated desk! I shopped around, and the staff here stood out. They were so personable, prompt and patient in answering all my questions. When I told them I may come in and tour, I noticed they communicated well with the security guard downstairs who was expecting me when I dropped by. They have welcomed me so warmly and shown true interest in what I'm working on and how they may be able to help or connect me with others! The community has a friendly, yet focused vibe. The space is warm and inviting, yet spacious and open. I am so excited to have this space, this community, and to see how this affects my work!

Not too bad of a spot, tons of space, multiple floors and private phone booths.

However, I don't recommend this place at all if you're just looking for a day pass because guests are not allowed to use the elevators on their own and must have a security guard activate them. This often lead to long wait times to get back to my floor after leaving the building, due to a gaurd being unavailable at that moment. I got tired of it and just ended up leaving early.. again I don't recommend if doing the day pass.

The Department has far surpassed my expectations - which were already pretty high based on the great reviews already posted. They have taken the best parts of working in an office and eliminated the drawbacks. The environment is lively and energetic without being loud or unprofessional. The space has been designed to accommodate everyone from the digital nomad to the C-Suite executive and can be scaled for one person or a whole team.

Wonderful vibe, great views, huge conference rooms, and amazing people.
